IRVINE, CALIF. (January 29, 2008). MBK Senior Living, the senior housing division of MBK Real Estate LLC, has named Robert Douk as Corporate Director of Dining Service. In his position, Douk will provide a high-quality culinary experience for residents at all MBK Senior Living properties by developing a corporate menu program, improving policies and procedures, and managing budgets and purchases.
Douk’s experience in multiple areas of food service management for several high-profile companies aligns well with MBK Senior Living’s goal to continue providing top-notch service to residents, while also remaining fiscally responsible.

Prior to joining MBK Senior Living, Douk served as regional food service director for Atria Senior Living Group, where he oversaw all food and beverage services for 25 assisted living communities throughout the northeastern United States. Beginning his career in 1977, Douk has worked for premier companies, including Carnival Cruise Lines, Wrather Corporation, Saga Corporation, Harbour Bay Catering and Marriott Hotels New York.

Douk is a graduate of the Culinary Institute in Tadmor, Israel and is currently enrolled in the University of North Dakota’s dietary management program. He is a certified self-serve trainer by the National Restaurant Association and member of the American Dietetic Association. A supporter of Kiwanis International, Douk currently resides in Costa Mesa, California, with his wife and daughter.
MBK Senior Living recently acquired its seventh community, Summerhill Villa, located in Santa Clarita, California. Summerhill Villa features 96 independent and assisted living units, and 38 memory care units. MBK Senior Living’s other communities in California include Casa de Santa Fe in Rocklin, Grand Oaks in Thousand Oaks, Huntington Terrace in Huntington Beach, and Sterling at Vintage Hills in Temecula. They also have two communities in Washington, Harbor Crest and Northpointe, both located in Spokane.
