Irvine, CA-based MBK Rental Living acquired a 3.43-acre site in Duarte with plans to develop a 292-unit apartment community. The developer partnered with Haseko Corporation in a second apartment JV between the companies.
The five-story transit-oriented development is located along the 210 freeway corridor and near the City of Hope Metro Gold Line Station. It will offer a mix of flats and lofted studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, and co-living apartments.
Construction is scheduled to start in 2022 with delivery in Summer 2024. The new wrap-style development is adjacent to the partners initial 4.3-acre Esperanza at Duarte Station project, which is slated to deliver 344 luxury apartments in mid-2023.
MBKs Craig Jones says: Our strategy with these two adjacent developments at Duarte Station is to design distinct yet interconnected projects focused around outside living that will serve multiple price points with the goal of providing relative affordability and diversity with an extraordinary living experience. https://www.connect.media/mbk-buys-site-partners-with-haseko-on-another-mf-development/
